Why Subaru Earned Forbes’ 2023 Social Impact Award
Subaru calls itself More than a Car Company®, but sometimes people take that as just commercial hype – a company patting itself on the back. But in Subaru’s case it’s more than just hype, and Forbes – the prestigious business publisher – is the proof in our pudding.
Forbes has named Subaru one of America’s 2023 “Best Brands for Social Impact.” Subaru was given the top spot in the automotive category and the number two spot overall.
So, what does that mean, exactly? Forbes and HundredX surveyed more than 100,000 consumers in four categories:
- Overall brand values and trust
- Social stances
- Sustainability
- Community support
There were about four million (4,000,000) ratings that mentioned more than 2,000 brands. Subaru was mentioned in the top six in all four categories.
Subaru has consistently focused on the Subaru Love Promise for the last several years. It is Subaru’s guiding vision that emphasizes Earth, Care, Help, Learning, and Pets. It really is about giving back to our communities and putting philanthropic effort behind the Subaru Love Promise. Things like the annual Subaru Share the Love® Event that provides support for diverse organizations such as the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®), Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America and the National Park Foundation.
“Giving back is at the core of everything we do at Subaru, and it exemplifies our efforts to be more than a car company, and we’re honored to be recognized for that work,” said Subaru of America’s Sr. VP of Marketing, Alan Bethke.
Schomp Subaru has been active on the local level, too. Just to name a few of our recent efforts:
- For Subaru Loves the Earth Month, we worked with the Carbon Offset Company to plant an additional 15 trees for each car we sell. By the end of April it will amount to more than 2,000 additional trees.
- During the Share the Love Event, we partnered with the Arapahoe Community College Foundation.
- Schomp Subaru also marked Subaru Loves Pets Month™ in October by partnering with Paws on the Ground to raise funds and sponsor puppy adoptions.
Schomp Subaru, and Subaru of America don’t just talk the talk when it comes to supporting our communities and doing good while doing well. We walk the talk – every day.
